ClixSense is a “Get Paid To” (GPT) website which pays you for performing certain tasks like viewing advertisements, and Completing ClixSense surveys, Clixsense offers & MicroJobs. It is free to Join with a premium plan to increase your pay rates. However, an upgrade to premium is not compulsory and you may continue to use the free version as long as you want.

Is ClixSense Legit?

ClixSense is one of the oldest GPT websites and has been online and paying its member since February 2007. From my personal experience, I can say that ClixSense is  legit without any doubt.

However, as claimed by many people, you cannot get rich with ClixSense. It is a source of secondary income and can never replace your primary source of Income.

ClixSense is good for Students looking out for pocket money, housewives who want to utilize their free time to make money and also for working professionals who are looking for a small amount of money to bear their daily expenses.

By working  for 20-25 minutes daily, one can make up to Rs $15  per month. However, there are people who earn up to Rs $40- $50 per month with it.

If you are from ClixSense Tier 1 country you can earn much more than other countries. This is because Tier 1 countries get many high paying ClixSense Surveys. Also, the number of ads available to these countries are more.

At ClixSense, I know people from Tier 1 countries who have earned more money in 3-4 days than what their counterparts in India could earn in 1 month.

Various Methods Of Making Money With ClixSense

Now that we know ClixSense is legitimate, let us now understand and review various ways you can earn money with it.

1. Earn Money By Viewing Advertisements

This is the primary business of ClixSense. It started operations with it and then expanded its business to offer other services. However, unfortunately, pay rates for these Jobs are a bit low. You get paid anywhere in the range of $0.001 to $0.01 for viewing an advertisement for a specified duration.

Unless you are from Tier 1 country where you get many standard ads worth $0.01, you cannot earn much with advertisements.  I usually recommend all my readers to click only on Standard and Mini ads under the “Regular Ads” section as the pay rates for the same are relatively high. Unless you have time to kill, you must avoid clicking on Sticky ads.

Some people do find difficulty in using this method so I will explain it in brief. All you need to do is, click on any ad to open a new tab. You will be required to click on the picture of a cat to verify you are human.

Once you click on the right picture, a countdown timer will start at the top. Duration of the timer will depend on the type of ad. During this period, you need to keep your browser in focus, you cannot switch the tabs. Doing so will pause the timer.

After viewing the advertisement for required time, a message will be displayed that your click has been validated. You can then close the tab and open another advertisement

2. Get Paid To Complete Surveys

Out of all the methods to Make Money with ClixSense, Surveys pay you the most. The length of each survey varies from 10-30 minutes. The pay rates for each survey too varies from $0.35 t0 $5.

The number of surveys you get each day depends on your Location, Profession, Interests and many other factors. People from Tier 1 countries like US, UK, Canada etc get more surveys and with better pay rates.

3. Earn With CrowdFlower Tasks

Completing Micro Jobs at CrowdFlower is another recommended way of Making Money with ClixSense. This is the best way people from India, Phillippines, Bangladesh and other nations, where not many surveys are available can make quick money.

Do not trust me? Check the below screenshot from my account. Just to remind you I am from India.

As you can see, in the 6th and 7th hour of the day I earned $1.26 and $1.19 respectively. You must note that I did not work for the whole hour continuously still I managed to earn that amount. This is evident from the below screenshot.

As you can see, it took me 2-3 minutes to complete “Judge The Sentiment Of Tweets” task which is worth 7 cents. “Categorize These Conversations”task  which was worth the same amount took me just a minute to complete, while “Stack Overflow Post Status Judgment” task took me 4-5 minutes for 12 cents.

So if you can work continuously, you can easily make $2 per hour. Add to it ClixSense Bonus for completing the daily checklist. It varies from 5% to 7% for normal users and 13% to 16% for ClixSense Premium users.

So if you work for 3-4 hours per day, you can easily make $7-8 per day which is a decent amount to earn part time.

However, when you start at Level 0, you will have very few tasks to complete. Also, the Pay per task would also be very low. This makes most people feel that CrowdFlower tasks are a waste of time.

But once you move up to Level 1  and above, there will be a plethora of tasks to complete. The pay per task also improves substantially.

CrowdFlower tasks have 3 modes, Test Mode, Work Mode and Expelled Mode. Most Crowdflower tasks begin with Test questions which are intended to test your knowledge and is termed as Test Mode. You do not get paid for these tasks. To reach level 1, you will have to answer 100 such test questions with at least 70% accuracy.

If you answer the Test questions with the desired accuracy mentioned in the task, you will then proceed to Work Mode and will earn for every task you complete thereon.

Apart from initial test questions, you will also get 1 random test question in Work Mode. Answering this question wrongly will affect your overall accuracy and if your accuracy falls below the desired accuracy, you will enter the expelled Mode and cannot complete any further tasks. You will, however, get paid for all the tasks completed in Work Mode including your final task.

If you complete every CrowdFflower task as and when available with high accuracy, it may take up to 30-50 days for your to reach level 1.

Still, I personally prefer CrowdFlower tasks over any other way of making money with ClixSense. This is because, once at Level 1, you have enough Crowdflower tasks to earn you decent amount of pocket money.

4. Make Money By Completing Offers

ClixSense also provides you offers from various sources like Persona.ly and TrialPay. With these offers, you get paid to Download Applications, play games, complete surveys etc. Some offers are free while other require you to make a purchase. The offers are generally limited and so not much scope to earn with it. For completing each offer, which you get paid in ClixCents which is automatically converted to cash. 100 ClixCents = $1

It surely is an easy way of making money if you have an unlimited internet plan. So make sure to complete the free offers for some quick money.

5. ClixGrid

ClixGrid is a game which gives you a chance to win up to $10. You have to click on random boxes of a picture. Each click will open up an advertisement and after viewing it for 10 seconds, you will come to know if you win anything. I will not get into details as I feel it is a complete waste of time. The only reason you may consider using ClixGrid is to complete the daily bonus.

6. ClixSense Bonus

As a free ClixSense user, you can earn up to 7% extra Bonus daily. So if your daily earnings from Advertisements, Surveys, Tasks and Offers is $1, your total earnings will be $1.07. Premium Clixsense users get up to 16% bonus.

To be able to get the above Bonus, you need to first complete the daily checklist which includes the following

1. Click 6 Ads of any kind
2. Click at least 20 ClixGrid squares.
3. Complete only one of the following:
   1. 10 CrowdFlower Tasks; or
   2. 2 offers or surveys
   3. 5 CrowdFlower Tasks and at least 1 offer or survey
4. Visit at least one page of our forum. Posting is not required.

To get the ClixAddon bonus of 1%, you need to Install ClixAddon extension for your browser. This is anyways recommended to install since it notifies you of new Surveys and tasks so that you do not have to open the website regularly for checking the same.

7. Referring ClixSense To Others

Whenever someone signs up to ClixSense using your referral link, ClixSense pays you a certain percentage of what your referral earns. This does not affect the earnings of your referral. Though this looks to be easy money, it is not.

Firstly, it is very hard to find people who are not already registered with ClixSense and secondly, the money you make from Referrals is too low. So unless you have over 1000 referrals using ClixSense regularly, you cannot expect much income. However, if you are anyways going to recommend it to your friends, it is a good way of making some extra Income.
